May Birthday Cookies

This a very Big Birthday Month in our family so I thought it's about time to get this awesome Toll House Cookie recipe adapted for you from my Organic Belgian Waffle Mix.
You will save a considerable amount of time by using my Belgian mix & cutting out the tedious task of measuring the dry ingredients.  Plus the mix has just enough flour to make the cookie nice & soft.  When my children were young I always used the Nestle's Toll House Cookie recipe on the back of the Chocolate Chip package but added 1/4 cup extra flour so the cookie wouldn't come out so flat.
I will be adapting my mixes in other ways in the future so check back.  If you or your loved ones have a Birthday this month then:

Happy Birthday to You . . . from me!

And this week's Winner is Chunky Cherry Tart Preserves!

Hot off the press is the first picture of my label for Chunky Cherry Tart Preserves just in time for Valentine's Day to serve with Chocolate Chip Organic Belgian Waffles prepared #Gavin's Way . . .
So Awesome now that I finally got my line of fruit jam (Preserves) ready from my farm kitchen.  This is something I have been thinking about for such a long time.  There is sooo much incredible fruit here in the Willamette Valley of Oregon to work with.  I think the market could stand something chocked full of lots of fruit & not too much sugar . . .hello, you can taste the fruit!  Really?

Try it on EVERYTHING & for baking Chunky Cherry Tart pies, tarts & crisps.  This is my #Freebie give-a-way this week.  You better tell your friends to Subscribe right away to   I just love giving good stuff away each week.  It is also so good for me to do this as it keeps the creative ideas coming.  I love my job!

#Gavin's Way

Gavin flew up to the farm yesterday to spend Valentine's Day with his Granny & Papa.  He loves to make  Granny's Waffles all by himself  #Gavin's Way.  He came up with this idea when his mom (Amy) was negotiating how many chocolate chips he could have for breakfast with each waffle.  Here are Gavin's directions for perfect Chocolate Chip Waffles . . .
One Chocolate Chip in EVERY pocket of his Belgian Waffle right after the waffle comes out piping hot from the waffle iron.  He's been doing this since he was 8.  He won't let his mom or me help & he won't play a basketball game without having his "lucky" waffles on game day!  His last championship game he made 25points (5 three point shots) after eating waffles for breakfast.  I'm not kidding, this is a true story . . .it doesn't get any better than this-:)
Now it's your turn . . .mmm Waffles!
How about with Blueberries & Jumbleberry Syrup?
Gavin's way of telling us he loves us is . . ."Love"

And the Winner is . . .Ruthie Ramirez!

Congratulations to Ruthie Ramirez who won this week's "Freebie Drawing". Her prize is one jar of my Lavender & Coconut Oil Bath Soak. I hope you enjoy it Ruthie. It will be shipped from my Farm Kitchen tomorrow. All you need to do is fill your bathtub with hot water that is the temperature you like & measure a big teaspoon from the jar & drop into your bath water. You will instantly smell the lovely lavender scent. Light a candle, turn on some soothing music & relax. You deserve it! Your skin will be so smooth. Right before I get out of my tub I shampoo my hair & lie back & rinse out the shampoo right in the bathwater. It leaves just enough Coconut Oil in my hair after I towel dry for a beautiful shine. Better than cream rinse! Enjoy!
